Handwoven with a meticulous eye, this Ayotupas pillow takes center stage.  Using the ancestral tradition of brocading, motifs of animals and diamond designs are woven into the fabric as it is being constructed on a floating loom.  This is different technique from embroidery, where designs are added on top of existing fabric.  Rich earth tones lead the eye to playful fringe on one side for a stand-out accent pillow from the island of Timor in Indonesia. Due to its handmade nature, each pillow varies slightly.

This pillow helps sustain this craft and support ethical employment for Ayotupas weavers in Indonesia.
