The March Edit brought new styles in our best selling Guatemalan Wool Blankets. Thick, warm and gorgeous, it’s no wonder they’re flying off our shelves. We celebrate the age-old art of Mayan weaving with these blankets, passed down for generations and continued today.

Handwoven in the Western Highlands of Guatemala, these wool blankets are made using virgin wool that is cleaned, brushed and naturally dyed by the women in the family. Men then spin the wool by hand, creating thick strands that are slowly woven on a wooden pedal loom. It is an art of partnership in the family, passed down for as long as anyone can remember.

Each blanket celebrates this heritage, promotes ethical and dignified employment and provides for the families of the Momostanengo Weavers.
